Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island to open end of 2023
Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts has announced its Seychelles debut.
The resort is located just over 130km south of Mahé, in an atoll fringed by palm forests, migratory seabirds, Hawksbill turtles, manta rays and whale sharks. Much of Platte Island's surrounding scenery remains untouched.
Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island will be home to 50 seafront villas, featuring varying types of accommodation, all the way up to five-bedroom villas with their own private pool and personal concierge.
The resort will feature six restaurants and bars offering a collection of culinary experiences that celebrate the bounty of fruit and vegetables grown on Platte Island.
The Waldorf Spa will offer a serene destination for holistic wellbeing, featuring six treatment rooms, a beauty salon, hammam, spa suite and serene outdoor spaces that blend harmoniously to offer guests an elevated spa experience.
As part of the resort's Travel with Purpose commitment, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island will use a solar field to create renewable energy across most of its operations.
The island's garden will provide a large portion of the resort's fruits and vegetables to deliver a farm-to-table experience for guests.
Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island will take Hilton's Seychelles portfolio to five hotels, joining Mango House Seychelles, LXR Hotels & Resorts; Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa; Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, and DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles-Allamanda Resort and Spa. Canopy by Hilton Mahé is set to open soon.
