Platform allows agents to offer personalisation and instant ticketing

Travel sellers will be able to access Riyadh Air’s upcoming flight bookings via travel technology company Verteil Technologies when it takes to the air later this year.

With an agreement signed at Arabian Travel Market 2025, Verteil is set to become the Saudi Arabian airline’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) aggregator, giving sellers access to Riyadh Air's NDC content through Verteil Direct Connect (VDC).

NDCs share real-time data with sellers, enabling them to offer personalisation, additional services and instant ticketing. Verteil’s platform simplifies operations and ultimately enhances the traveller experience.

Verteil partners with more than 50 airlines worldwide, including Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways.

The move aligns with Riyadh Air’s goal of being the “world’s first digital-native airline” as it doubles down on technology, including offering passengers free wi-fi access provided by Viasat which will also deliver live TV on seatback screens.

The carrier is projected to fly to more than 100 destinations by 2030, supported by an order of more than 132 aircraft, with first flights due at the end of 2025.

Verteil’s platform makes it easier for online travel agents, travel management companies and consolidators to adopt NDC technology. The company aims to replace legacy airline distribution with its direct connect system, based on IATA’s NDC.
