Six Senses AlUla to open in Saudi Arabia in 2027

Activities on offer will include sunrise yoga, singing bowl ceremonies and "moon bathing"

Six Senses has signed a hotel management agreement with AUla Development Company to open Six Senses AlUla in Saudi Arabia in 2027.

Six Senses AlUla will be set in a natural oasis framed by red-sandstone cliffs in a prime position that was once home to the ancient Nabatean civilization, strategically placed along the historical spice route connecting east and west.

The area features tombs with elaborately decorated facades dating from the 1st century BCE to 1st century CE, making AlUla an UNESCO World Heritage site.

The 100 guest villas and 25 residences will be built using a blend of traditional and modern architectural methods. Immersive guest experiences will include sunrise yoga and meditation classes, "moon bathing" and evening singing bowl ceremonies, as well as starlit dining.

The resort's other in-house culinary experiences will include dining among natural geological rock formations and in caves featuring drawings dating back thousands of years.

In line with the brand's Eat With Six Senses food and drink philosophy, regional cuisine and seasonal produce will be used across all dining outlets, chef's table and pop-up dining experiences and cultural cooking classes.
