Riyadh airport introduces 'sleeping pods'

The self-contained units are climate controlled and feature hotel-style beds

King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh has launched sleeping pods to cater to passengers in transit.

The pods are equipped with features including air conditioning, beds, interactive screens and lockers and can cater for up to 300 passengers per day.

The airport said the sleeping pods would offer a convenient alternative for passengers who need to rest or work when in transit.
