Dubai-based airline adds three retail centres in key destinations
Dubai-based Emirates has opened three Travel Stores in key destinations, as part of a plan to expand to 40 locations globally in the coming years.
The new retail stores in Geneva in Switzerland, Accra in Ghana and Port-Louis in Mauritius represent a commitment to customers in key markets, according to Emirates, which is the world’s largest and most profitable airline, reporting record profits of US$5.8 billion for the financial year ending 31 March 2025.
An important destination for Emirates, Geneva was the first worldwide to be served by the airline’s refitted Boeing 777 and is now home to an Emirates travel store, the airline's first physical retail presence in the country.
Located on Rue du Rhône in Geneva, the store spans 134 square metres, with three customer service counters offering personalised assistance for flight bookings and information on destinations within the Emirates network.

The Accra store takes the retail experience to new heights with a full-size replica of the Emirates A380 Onboard Lounge, allowing travellers from Ghana a taste of onward travel experiences from Dubai. The 310-square-metre store at Stanbic Heights in Airport City is designed as an open-plan lounge and has five service counters.
The third travel store opening in Port-Louis, Mauritius (pictured top), was accompanied by Emirates extending its MoU with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) to promote tourism to the Indian Ocean island.
Emirates' experiential store in Mauritius
Emirates and MTPA have been collaborating on joint initiatives to showcase Mauritius in key markets since 2012 and this 176-square-metre experiential store at United Docks Business Park is the latest step in that commitment.
Essa Sulaiman Ahmad, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Commercial West Asia & Indian Ocean, said: “Our double daily A380 services have been a major contributor to the growth of the country’s tourism industry and lifeblood of the local community.”
In December 2024, Emirates opened its first retail store in Southeast Asia in Manila, capital of the Philippines.
Emirates now operates nine travel stores worldwide, with plans for 40 locations worldwide.
