Mandarin Oriental announces third London-based hotel

Hotel will occupy part of the Bankside Yards development, between Tate Modern and Blackfriars 

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will open its third hotel in the British capital in 2028. 

Situated on London's South Bank with views over St Paul's Cathedral, Mandarin Oriental Bankside, London is close to Waterloo Station and opposite Embankment.

The development will comprise a contemporary standalone building with 171 rooms and 70 branded Residences at Mandarin Oriental.

The hotel will be home to the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, providing signature wellness therapies and beauty treatments, a 25-metre lap pool, a spacious fitness centre and invigorating heat and water experiences.

Four distinct culinary outlets, located on the first floor and the 19th floor with views across the city, will make the hotel a dining destination for both locals and visitors.

In line with the brand's continuous commitment to sustainability, the property will benefit from the wider Bankside Yards development plan to be the UK's first operationally fossil fuel-free major mixed-use development.

The Residences at Mandarin Oriental will offer a refined living experience with access to Mandarin Oriental's services and hotel facilities. The residences will also feature a sky lobby lounge, private roof garden and parking.
