Fourteen flights a week are now offered from two Indian cities
India’s low-cost airline IndiGo has launched a new direct flight service to Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) from the southern city of Hyderabad.
It means the airline now operates 14 flights a week from two cities in India to the UAE’s most northern emirate, with flights also operating from Mumbai. RAK is the fourth city in the UAE to which the carrier offers direct flights as demand grows.
Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales, said: “We have started new direct flights in view of the increasing demand. In our endeavour to further enhance domestic connectivity, we are pleased to provide a gateway for tourists and business travellers through various states of India.”
RAK is IndiGo’s eleventh destination in the Middle East, and the 26th in its international network. The destination is popular for Indian leisure travellers, destination weddings and business travellers.
