Cambodia’s Amansara reopens following extensive renovation

The hotel is close to the famous temple Angkor Wat

A former Cambodian royal residence, Amansara, which once hosted King Sihanouk's visiting diplomats and aristocrats, reopened this month (October 2023) following an extensive renovation.

The newly refurbished rooms at Aman’s retreat now feature an exterior daybed in their private courtyard.

Inside, the technology has been upgraded with additional lighting controls, smart toilets and new shower units ensuring the most seamless of stays. 

In-room amenities have also been improved, with mini-bars and coffee and tea making facilities fully upgraded.

The hotel has also appointed a new executive chef, Sattar Seikh Rabul. The Chennai-born culinary talent will bring an all-new Indian dining concept to The Restaurant, Amansara’s terraced dining destination, inspired by his grandmother’s recipes, 

Dishes include seekh kebab, tandoori chicken tikka, lamb rogan josh and kulfi ice cream.
