Upgraded accommodation aims to elevate resort’s position among ultra-luxury resorts in the Maldives
Located in Baa Atoll, Anantara Kihavah Maldives has revealed the results of its Over Water Pool Villas upgrades.
Poised above the Indian Ocean, within easy reach of the house reef, the updated villas are positioned as being among the most luxurious and spacious in the Maldives following a multi-million-dollar refurbishment.
International architecture and interior design studio Atelier Pod led the transformation. The new look infuses a wooden cabin aesthetic using local materials with futuristic shapes and clean lines, smart technology and additional home comforts. Accent pieces have been sourced from local Thuladoo island.
The 267-square-metre hideaways maintain king-size beds and walk-in dressing rooms, but with lighter colour schemes and woods, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that let the outside in. A glass-bottomed soaking bathtub allows bathers to watching the fish swimming beneath the villas.
