Flights will operate four times a week
Air India’s low-cost sister carrier, Air India Express, has officially begun a new service connecting India’s IT capital Bengaluru and the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.
Bengaluru is currently attracting hotel developers and operators, among them Atmosphere Core, which has announced the 2025 opening of Ozen Nandi Hills Bangalore (pictured) as part of its ambitious India expansion plans.
The new service operates four times a week departing Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru at 3.25pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 6pm. From Abu Dhabi, the flight will depart at 6.55pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and arrive at KIA at 12.40am the following day.

“With the launch of the Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi flight, guests from cities such as Ayodhya, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Goa, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune, Ranchi, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam now have the option to connect conveniently to Abu Dhabi through one-stop itineraries via Bengaluru,” said an airline spokesperson.
With the addition of Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi flight, the airline now operates direct flights between Abu Dhabi and seven Indian destinations: Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Tiruchirappalli, in addition to 17 indirect one-stop flights connecting 17 more Indian cities to Abu Dhabi.
