Air Arabia launches new direct Sharjah-Vienna flights to Austrian city

UAE low-cost carrier will operate four flights a week to Austrian capital

Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier, commenced its direct service between Sharjah, UAE and Vienna, Austria on 20 December 2024. 

The inaugural flight departed from Sharjah after a ceremony attended by HE Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, carrying guests including His Excellency Dr Etienne Berchtold, the Austrian Ambassador to the UAE, and senior Air Arabia representatives, and was met with a welcome ceremony in Austria, hosted by Vienna International Airport officials.

Flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, departing Sharjah International Airport at 08:00, arriving in Vienna at 11:25. The return service will leave Vienna at 12:15, landing in Sharjah at 20:50 local time.

Passengers travelling from Austria can head for the sun whereas guests from the UAE can experience the festive atmosphere of Vienna."
