Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launches flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka

The UAE-based low-cost carrier will operate three flights a week to the Sri Lankan capital 

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has launched flights to the Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka with a population of more than 5 million.

The airline will connect the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, to Colombo with three flights a week operating on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Air Arabia group CEO Adel Al Ali said: "We recently relocated our Abu Dhabi operations to Terminal A, a state-of-the-art new facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport. This launch further demonstrates our commitment to delivering smooth travel experiences for passengers and contributing to the growth of the travel and tourism sectors in both countries."

Abu Dhabi Airports chief commercial officer Maureen Bannerman added: "We are pleased to join our partners, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, in announcing this new route that will connect Abu Dhabi to Sri Lanka’s vibrant capital Colombo."
