Zanzibar itineraries will also be available on new super yacht
Aqua Expeditions is expanding its fleet, adding a sixth vessel in 2025, which will take passengers to East African destinations including The Seychelles, Zanzibar in Tanzania, and the Aldabra Atoll, the world's second-largest coral atoll.
With inaugural departures scheduled for December 2025, the small ship expeditions company will offer four different itineraries.
Trips on board the new yet-to-be-named Aqua yacht will range from five- to nine-night itineraries exploring Seychelles’ inner and outer islands. The itineraries can also be combined for a 14-night tour of the Seychelles archipelago.
The itineraries will rotate with 10- and 11-night sailings exploring both Seychelles and the Tanzanian islands.
While sailing Seychelles and Tanzania with Aqua, guests will have the opportunity to visit biodiversity hotspots such as Aldabra, Cosmoledo, Astove, Furquhar Atol, Kilwa Kisiwani and Pemba.
The expedition will also visit destinations such as the African Banks which are rarely explored by other cruises in the region.

“East Africa presents a compelling blend of familiar sights and unexplored frontiers,” said Aqua Expeditions’ founder and CEO, Francesco Galli Zugaro.
“We find giant tortoises roaming the beaches, like in the Galapagos which we sail with Aqua Mare. Diving into history, we see remnants of a centuries-old spice trade, much like the Spice Islands that Aqua Blu explores in Indonesia.
“At the same time, we are treated to sights never seen before, from the raised coral atoll of Aldabra to marine life unique to Seychelles and reef walls akin to the Grand Canyon.”
Guests can expect a super-yacht experience with a 1:1 crew-to-guest ratio, personalised service, cuisine prepared by highly trained chefs, and small group expert-guided excursions for each of the destinations.
Since 2007, when the brand started with a single vessel in the Peruvian Amazon, Aqua has grown to sail to eight destinations with three river ships and two super yachts.
