Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island comprises 50 villas with one to five bedrooms
Hilton has announced Waldorf Astoria’s debut in the Seychelles with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island.
Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island houses of 50 seafront villas with personal concierge services. Villas range from one- to three-bedroom units, as well as a master five-bedroom villa with expansive gardens.
There are six restaurants and bars. Menus by executive head chef Jane-Therese Mulry feature Creole-Latin fusion concepts, tapas, oysters and champagne, and Asian and Mediterranean cuisine.
On the resort's shores, hawksbill and green turtles come to nest, and the underwater realm of Platte Island is billed as "an essential ecological cornerstone". With a resident Environment Manager and Marine Biologist and partnerships with local non-profit organisations, including the Island Conservation Society, Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island has implemented several initiatives to preserve and protect the diverse flora and fauna here.
Onsite facilities include The Waldorf Astoria Spa using sustainable ingredients such as organic seaweed, locally sourced coconut and native plants. Thermal experiences including sauna, steam and hydrotherapy. Yoga, guided meditation and mindfulness sessions to focus on breathwork are also available.
The fitness centre features Technogym equipment, an open-air fitness studio and tennis and padel tennis facilities, in addition to the option to get involved in outdoor activities including cycling and jogging. Other activities at the resort include star gazing sessions and an alfresco outdoor cinema experience.
