UAE-based Time Hotels to add 12 properties by Q1 2026

Group will target high-growth markets in Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Morocco and the Maldives

UAE hospitality brand Time Hotels says it will open 12 new properties by the first quarter of 2026, as it sets an ambitious target to expand its portfolio by 488% in the next five years.

This is a bold move as Time currently has just 17 properties in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, totalling more than 3,000 keys, with the additional dozen hotels alone set to add 5,000 keys.

Time says it will target high-growth markets in Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Morocco and the Indian Ocean, including the Maldives, to achieve its goal.

Set to debut on Hankede Island in the Maldives in 2026, the first Vivi property (pictured) will have 75 keys over six floors while Halo will have 150 keys over eight floors, including overwater villas.

They will also launch two new hospitality brands, the upscale Halo by Time and lifestyle brand Vivi by Time.

Mohamed Awadalla, CEO of Time Hotels, said the expansion strategy is underpinned by a focus on "high-growth destinations where tourism is a key economic driver".

“From aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its ambitious goals for tourism diversification, to supporting eco-tourism growth in Tanzania and Morocco, and now venturing into Asia, we’re leveraging regional success to build a globally recognised portfolio.”

Founded in 2012, Time Hotels recently showcased its new luxury offering, Rotella, at Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, while its established Time Hotels & Resorts and budget brand Express by Time are all part of the future expansion plans, as well as the self-catering Time Residences.
