A study by online language learning platform Preplay has ranked Europe's most stressful airports based on factors including the percentage of flights leaving on time, driving distance to the city centre, average daily passenger numbers in peak season, Google reviews and lost luggage searches. 

Taking the crown as the most stressful airport in Europe is London Heathrow, with more than 34,700 lost luggage search queries each year and the highest passenger traffic of nearly 217,000 a day in peak season.

Four out of the top five airports ranked as the most stressful are in the UK, with Manchester, Gatwick and Stansted ranking in second, third and fifth place respectively.

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport secures the fourth spot and is ranked as the most complained about airport outside of the UK, with 64 Google reviews citing how stressful it is.
