Hospitality veteran with more than a decade's experience to lead regional growth for luxury hotel group
Luxury hospitality group The Set has appointed Kirk McDonald as its new Director of Sales – Middle East, effective immediately.
Based in Dubai, McDonald will lead commercial operations across the region, deepening partnerships and expanding the brand’s presence in one of its most important markets.
Originally from Canada, McDonald brings more than a decade of experience in luxury hospitality and tourism, most recently serving at Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Over the past four years, he spearheaded the Middle East sales strategy for a portfolio of more than 600 high-end properties worldwide.

His career in Dubai, where he has been based since 2011, also includes key roles at Visit Britain, where he served as Senior Manager for Product and Distribution, and Emirates Airlines, where he worked in Commercial Operations as a Business Development Manager.
Known for his dynamic sales approach and ability to cultivate strategic relationships, McDonald has worked closely with high-net-worth individuals, corporate clients and top-tier travel advisors throughout his career.
His appointment comes at a time when The Set is focused on accelerating its visibility and influence in the Middle East's booming luxury travel market.
