Saudi Arabia’s national carrier will add 20 A321neo aircrafts to its fleet by 2026

Saudia has announced the expansion of its fleet with the addition of a new aircraft type, the Airbus A321neo.

The airline's expansion is being promoted under the slogan “A neo-way of flying”, and is in line with Saudia’s growth strategy.

Seating 180 to 220 passengers in a two-class configuration, the A321neo aircraft has a reputation for high performance fuel efficiency and superior comfort.

Saudia CEO Captain Ibrahim Koshy said: "Our priority is to offer the best guest experience possible and to bring the world to Saudi Arabia,. We will continue to purchase state-of-the-art aircraft from the world’s top manufacturers to deliver on that promise.

"We commend Airbus for continuously looking to improve the performance of their aircraft, which is in line with Saudia’s ambition to provide the best guest experience possible while contributing to make aviation more sustainable."

This move also supports Saudi Arabia’s wider goal of serving 330 transiting million airline passengers, while attracting 100 visitors to stay and visit the country by 2030.

The expansion of Saudia’s fleet will also help create new job opportunities for pilots, cabin crew and other operational positions.
