Nine new weekly flights connect Saudia with coastal cities in Egypt and Oman
Saudi Arabia’s national airline Saudia has launched two new direct services to Middle East coastal cities, Al Alamein in Egypt and Salalah in southern Oman (pictured top).
With these two new routes, Saudia now serves two destinations in Oman after Muscat and four in Egypt, including Cairo, Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh.
Both Egypt and Oman remain top choices for Saudi travellers, with arrivals to the country rising 25% year-on-year, placing the kingdom among Egypt’s top three source markets.
Saudia will operate six weekly flights to Al Alamein, with three to and from Jeddah and the other three to and from Riyadh.

Saudia’s new Salalah service will also operate three times weekly and is expected to boost visitor numbers to Oman’s southern region during Khareef Season, with passenger traffic expected to rise 37% at Salalah Airport.
Al Alamein and Salalah are two of 11 new destinations announced by Saudia for 2025, including Antalya in Turkiye, Venice in Italy, Nice in France, Malaga in Spain, Larnaca in Cyprus and Athens and Heraklion in Greece.
Beyond the EMEA region, the airline will roll out a service between Jeddah and Bali, its second regular route to Indonesia after Jakarta.
Saudia's expansion comes as the carrier posted a 16% year-on-year increase in international passenger traffic in 2024, aligning with the Kingdom’s National Tourism Strategy, which targets 150 million annual visitors by 2030.
