SalamAir to operate year-round Muscat-Beirut flights

The extended weekly service will start from September 2023

SalamAir, Oman’s first low-cost airline, has announced the permanent operation of the Muscat-to-Beirut flights throughout the year, starting from 30 September 2023.

SalamAir will operate weekly flights to Beirut every Saturday, offering passengers an affordable flight option between Oman and Lebanon. In addition, SalamAir will operate additional flights during the New Year holiday period.

The increase in flights is due to popular demand. The regular weekly connection will cater to the needs of Lebanese expats and provide an opportunity for tourists from Lebanon and Oman to explore each other’s countries. The enhanced connectivity will also benefit the economies of both nations and create opportunities for businesses.

Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir, said: “This update is in response to the overwhelming public demand and significant success of bookings for the New Year holidays and the summer season flights, which have operated since December 2022.

“This new connection marks an exciting milestone for both countries and opens endless trade, tourism and cultural exchange possibilities. Recognising the growing interest and the remarkable seat factor on their flights, SalamAir has made the decision to include Beirut as one of its year-round destinations.”

SalamAir commenced its commercial operations in 2017. Today, its network consists of 41 destinations. Domestic destinations include Muscat, Salalah, Suhar, Duqm and Masirah. International destinations include Dubai, Fujairah, Doha, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dammam, Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Baghdad, Shiraz, Tehran, Mashhad, Istanbul, Rize, Trabzon, Alexandria, Beirut, Almaty, Baku, Kuala Lumpur, Prague, Sarajevo, Bangkok, Phuket, Colombo, Chattogram, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot, Peshawar, Lucknow, Jaipur and Trivandrum.
