Qatar scraps Hayya requirement for GCC nationals and residents

The move further simplifies World Cup access

Qatar has scrapped the Hayya card requirement for GCC citizens and residents planning to watch the FIFA World Cup 2022 matches.

The cancellation of the requirement came into effect on 6 December 2022 with an announcement stating that citizens and residents of GCC countries will be allowed to enter the country by air, land or sea without a Hayya card or match tickets.
