The line’s ships will offer the “goûter” experience with signature macarons
Travellers on board Ponant ships can now experience the fine culinary art of the 'goûter’ French afternoon tea.
Featuring signature Pierre Hermé macarons, the tea offers guests the opportunity to sample the produce of the “Picasso of pastries”.
Pierre Hermé said the flavours of the four macarons offered reflect his vast repertoire of global travel.
He said: “You can be endlessly creative with the macaron, which is why it is my favourite means of expression. It offers an infinite field for exploration, each flavour an invitation to open up to the world, from Iran to Brazil, Tahiti to Mexico and Madagascar.

“I am delighted by this partnership between our two companies. We realised that we share a mission to awaken people’s curiosity, to offer them a voyage of the senses and a refined experience."
Hervé Gastinel, Ponant CEO, said the French culinary artist would add a unique touch to the ships’ offerings
“Sampling Pierre Hermé macarons at tea time will very quickly become another gourmet ritual on all our ships,” he added.
