Oman’s Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar opens Jala Spa and Wellness

Wellness centre ‘serves as a nurturing oases’ on the Green Mountain

Oman’s Jabal Akhdar hotel has opened a new wellness facility, Jala Spa and Wellness at Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort.

The spa is being marketed as a ‘nurturing oasis’ and uses native ingredients and century-old remedies, with a focus on ethical and sustainable products.

The facility is led by Spa and Wellness Director Indah Megayani and her team of internationally accredited therapists.

Himalayan Salt Room

“Jala is truly a sanctuary where every detail has been meticulously crafted to create an atmosphere of serenity and rejuvenation,” she said.

“The design, a collaboration with leading spa experts The Wellness Group and Raison d'etre Spas, not only meets the highest standards of wellbeing but also pays homage to Omani heritage with features like our arched corridors inspired by the Grand Mosque.”

Wet areas

The spa has thermal and wet zones and signature treatments such as the ‘Chakra Wellbeing’ ritual and the ‘Ananda Face Therapy’ to nourish, hydrate and revitalise skin. There are also traditional hammam and vichy shower rooms, Himalayan salt rooms and a wellness studio.

The spa's layout and planning were developed in partnership with Raison d'etre Spas.

Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort is located on the highest mountaintop in the GCC, 2,000 meters above sea level. Jala Spa’s philosophy is tied to the following elements: water (Jala), representing revitalising amenities that harness the power of water for cleansing and rejuvenation; air, symbolising the pure mountain air that invigorates the spirit; earth, a connection to Mother Nature through fresh, local ingredients; and fire, harnessing the therapeutic potential of heat for relaxation and relief.
