The increase was largely due to growth in inbound markets
According to a report in the Oman Daily Observer, revenue at three- to five- star hotels in Oman increased by 23% from 2022 to 2023.
The report said: "The National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) attributed the increase in revenue to the surge in the total number of hotel guests, which grew by 27% in 2023."

The number of domestic Omani guests staying in hotels increased by 10% reaching 769,790. Inbound Gulf Coast markets increased by 24% reaching 198,489. Inbound European markets were up by 44%, reaching 517,278, African markets by 29% reaching 11,670, Asian markets by 35% to 297,270 and Oceania markets by 134% to 44,726.
Guests from the Americas accounted for 57,752 guests in 2023, but it was not confirmed whether that number had risen from 2022.
