Two prime locations continues Nobu Hospitality's global expansion

Nobu Hospitality has announced the opening of two new locations in 2026 with properties in Bangkok and New York being the latest additions to the brand's portfolio.

Both hotels will be in iconic heritage buildings. Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel and Spa New York will be situated in the city’s luxurious Upper East Side on 64th Street and Park Avenue. The Plaza Athenee Nobu Hotel and Spa Bangkok will be located in the EAC (East Asiatic Company) Heritage Building, pictured above, a prime location by the Chao Phraya River.

Set in a building that’s almost a century old, the Plaza Athenee Nobu & Spa New York will represent Nobu’s inaugural hotel in New York with 145 rooms. The suites will offer indoor and outdoor glassed terraces and gazebos, and facilities will include a traditional Japanese onsen, a spa and a wellness centre.

The hotel will also offer a Nobu omakase experience at its restaurant and craft cocktails at its bar to draw locals and guests alike. In addition, there'll be a rooftop space for private parties with a panoramic view of New York City.

Both hotels fall under the Plaza Athenee brand, and Asset World Corp Public Company Limited is partnering with Nobu on the projects.

AWC chief executive officer and president Wallapa Traisorat said: “AWC is delighted to expand our collaboration with Nobu Hospitality as it marks another important milestone for our partnership. These hotels will offer the unique luxury experience of the Plaza Athenee brand and modern luxury with minimal Japanese tradition from Nobu, the world’s most renowned lifestyle brand.”
