NH Collection to debut in the Maldives

The brand’s first hotel outside of a city setting will open in August 2023

Minor Hotels, an owner, operator and investor with a portfolio of more than 530 hotels and resorts in 56 countries, will debut its NH Collection brand in the Maldives next month.

Located in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, NH Collection Maldives Havodda Resort will offer 120 luxury villas, 60 beach villas and 60 over-water villas, each with views of the Indian Ocean. 

Onsite dining options range from an all-day international cuisine concept, a beachside grill, poolside pizzeria and a cocktail bar serving "light bites".

The property also features a dedicated Asian concept spa, a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool and pool bar, and a kids club. A water sports and diving centre will be manned by an expert team to provide guests with activities in the water and along with the unspoilt reef just off the beach, home to a plethora of colourful marine life.

The new resort will be the seventh property operated by Minor Hotels in the Maldives. As the first under the NH Collection brand, it signifies strategic expansion into new regions, with a particular focus on Asia Pacific and the Middle East, broadening NH Collection's focus from central city locations.

Further launches in the pipeline include NH Collection Chiang Mai and NH Collection Luang Prabang. 

The brand also debuted in the UAE earlier this year with the launch of NH Collection Dubai The Palm, with two further properties in the region currently under development, one in Qatar and a second property in the UAE.
