Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Ghala Muscat is now open

Mövenpick, part of Accor’s premium portfolio, has opened its first hotel in Muscat, Oman.

The contemporary Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Ghala Muscat takes its design inspiration from the Sultanate's heritage and features 282 rooms and suites and 58 hotel apartments.

Located in Ghala Heights, the hotel is close to Muscat International Airport and the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, targeting business travellers.

Guest room

The hotel will cater to both short-stay visitors and long-term guests residing in Muscat. The apartments are fully serviced and provide access to all hotel facilities, catering to the growing number of long-stay hotel guests.

Onsite wellness facilities include a spa, a fitness centre offering personal training services and a rooftop infinity pool.

The hotel also has four flexible venues that can accommodate up to 570 guests, including three meeting rooms with natural daylight and the 630-square-metre pillar-free Al Falaj Ballroom, with the latest audio-visual equipment.

Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Ghala Muscat also features four restaurants, including Amoun, an all-day dining outlet capturing the essence of Oman and Zanzibar, and Butcher House, an upscale steak restaurant.

The hotel’s soft launch has seen the property open select rooms, facilities and venues, with the full range of amenities and services set to be unveiled over in the coming months.

Accor currently operates four properties in Oman, comprising 878 keys, with an additional five properties set to open by 2026.
