Maybourne to debut palace-style hotel in Paris

The 101-key property will feature a rooftop pool and one of the city’s largest luxury spas

Luxury hotel group Maybourne will open its first Parisian property in 2027.

The Maybourne Saint-Germain will bring a palace-style hotel with 101 keys to the heart of the Left Bank.

This development marks Maybourne's second property in France, after the French Riviera, and sixth worldwide, including Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley, all located in London.

Situated in the historic Saint-Germain-des-Prés quarter, the new development will transform the Îlot Saint-Germain building, which has been a Parisian landmark since the 17th century.

Blending historical character and contemporary design, the hotel will feature 50 suites and 51 rooms arranged around an inner courtyard, as well as 23 residences, seven designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, the creative genius behind the Waldorf Astoria New York and Four Seasons George V in Paris.

Hotel guests will have access to six dining venues, including a Japanese restaurant, a patisserie and a Salon de Thé.

The property will also house Maybourne's new wellness brand, Surrenne, offering one of Paris' largest luxury spas and health clubs. A standout feature will be the 30-metre rooftop pool, providing guests with panoramic views of the city.

“Our presence in this iconic city reflects our commitment to creating elevated experiences that celebrate the local culture and our brand’s dedication to excellence,” said Gianluca Muzzi, Co-CEO of Maybourne.

“This opening marks an exciting step in our strategy to grow selectively in key urban gateways around the world, allowing us to build meaningful connections with our guests through rich and distinctive experiences.”

Paris is set to welcome a handful of luxury hotels in 2025, including Paris-based Experimental Group’s new venture, also located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. This 43-key five-star hotel will be transformed from a private mansion into a hotel with 23 suites, a restaurant, two bars, a spa and an indoor swimming pool.

Slated to open in June 2025, Hotel SAX is an 118-room hotel designed by Philippe Starck and features a rooftop with views of the Eiffel Tower.

The 115-year-old Hôtel Lutetia will also be rebranded as Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris, marking the brand's second property in Paris.
