Marriott's W hotel brand debuts in Czech Republic

W Prague occupies former Grand Hotel Europa landmark property

W Hotels has unveiled its latest property, W Prague, marking the brand’s entry into the Czech Republic and the start of a new chapter for one of the city's historical landmarks.

The newly opened 161-key W Prague hotel spans an existing heritage building formerly occupied by Grand Hotel Europa, as well as newly built premises.

Located on Wenceslas Square, it is being marketed as the “new social soul of the city” with colourful F&B outlets – such as the Minus One Bar – designed to attract discerning revellers.

W Prague's other restaurants and bars include a revival of the Grand Café in partnership with Monaco-based restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, the Above Rooftop seasonal outdoor terrace and a W Lounge.

Like the dining venues, W Prague’s rooms and suites are decorated in bold colours.

The EWOW Suite, located in the new quarters, is the brand’s modern interpretation of a presidential suite, with a nod to the heritage building's art nouveau style.

The WOW Bohemia Duplex, in the heritage building, has restored beams and decorative arch windows.
