Marriott to open St Regis Jeddah hotel in Saudi Arabia

Development to include serviced apartments, sea views and a swimming pool

Marriott International is set to open St Regis property in Jeddah on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast in 2030.

The St Regis Jeddah will have 191 rooms, suites and serviced apartments with sea views, as well as five dining outlets, an indoor swimming pool and a spa.

The development will also include 92 branded residences ranging from one to five bedrooms, and will be located in the 52-storey U-View Tower along Jeddah’s waterfront.

Marriott is doubling down on branded residences in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), with 41 projects in its portfolio, including 29 signed and 12 open properties.

In Saudi, Marriott has The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Diriyah and Nujuma, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve Residence at The Red Sea, which was recently named Best Opening of 2024 by Forbes Travel guide. Upcoming is The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Al Khobar on the Arabian Gulf coast. 

Jeddah will be the first St Regis branded residences in the kingdom, but the hotel will join sister properties The St Regis Red Sea Resort, which opened in January 2024 and The St Regis Riyadh.

“Jeddah continues to be an important business and leisure destination in the region, and a gateway to Makkah and Medina," Karim Cheltout, Senior Vice President, Development, Middle East & Africa.

Also opening in Jeddah in 2025, Raffles Jeddah will bring 142 rooms and 40 suites to the city, as well as three restaurants and lounges and a spa.

UAE-based Rotana is also set to bring two new hotel openings to Jeddah in 2025 and 2026 under its Edge and Rayhaan brands.
