JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will open in 2023
Marriott International has joined forces with Baraka Lodges to enter the safari segment for the first time.
JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will be located within the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the most renowned wildlife conservation and wilderness regions on the continent.
Overlooking the banks of the River Talek and on the edge of the reserve, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge will offer guests an elevated luxury camp from which to discover stunning vistas and abundant wildlife.
The new-build lodge will feature 20 private tents, including one presidential canvas-topped pavilion and two interconnecting canopied suites, ideal for families, each with a private terrace with river views.
Shared spaces will include a restaurant, lounge bar, spa and a large outdoor terrace, complete with fire pits, where traditional Masai dance will be performed.

With conservation of the land and its inhabitants the main focus of the new property, the lodge will employ up to 50 locals from the Masai community and will offer learning opportunities for guests looking to immerse themselves in the destination.
