Marriott opens Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul

Historical 63-key hotel building was originally constructed in 1895

Sanasaryan Han, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Istanbul, has opened in the heart of Istanbul’s historical Old Town district.

Designed as an urban sanctuary, the building was originally constructed in 1895. The neoclassical structure blends the opulent grandeur of the Old City with Istanbul’s cultural heritage. 

The property has undergone a meticulous restoration, honouring its history with a curated collection of artefacts and antiques. Elegant design features flow through the 63 guestrooms, including six suites with sweeping views of Istanbul framed by grand Ottoman windows.

The hotel’s personalised concierge service will help guests craft itineraries. Attractions within walking distance of hotel include the Spice and Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Karaköy district.

The hotel also invites guests to discover Türkiye’s rich culinary traditions at fine-dining restaurant Sini, while The Library Bar is a hub for various art forms, including poetry readings.

To mark the opening, Sanasaryan Han has curated the Istanbul package for Marriott Bonvoy members. The package includes a traditional Turkish breakfast, a photographic walking map for city exploration, exclusive tea tasting sessions led by the hotel’s Tea Master, a private tour of the Spice Bazaar, and an additional 10,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per stay.
