The new hotel is the brand’s third in Switzerland
Mandarin Oriental has opened in Switzerland’s largest city, Zurich.
Located on the famous Paradeplatz, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich sits just steps away from the prestigious Bahnhofstrasse and its high-end fashion houses, the historic old town and charming promenade leading to Lake Zurich.
The story of Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich started back on Christmas Eve, 1838, when a young baker from Vorarlberg in Austria, Johannes Baur, founded the city’s first grand hotel, the Hotel Baur. Now, 185 years later, the icon has been reborn following an extensive renovation.
