Mandarin Oriental opens new hotel in Beijing

Special opening offer is available at Mandarin Oriental Qianmen until February 2025

Mandarin Oriental Qianmen hotel is now open in the traditional Beijing neighbourhood of Hutong. 

To mark the opening, the hotel is offering guests a special welcome deal, with rates starting from US$265 plus taxes, valid until 28 February 2025.

The second hotel for the group in the Chinese capital features 42 courtyard houses, Cantonese restaurant Yan Garden, an Italian eatery, a cocktail bar and the Maple Lounge serving tea in a tranquil courtyard.

The hotel spa is one of its biggest draws with a large treatment menu, a Tea House, a healing space and a fitness centre.

Dignitaries from the owning company, Beijing Tianjie Group Co Ltd, attended the official opening of the hotel. They were joined for the ribbon cutting by Amanda Hyndman, Chief People & Culture Officer; Alex Schellenberger, Senior Vice President of Brand; Emil Leung, Area Vice President Operations, and Andy Guan, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen.

Following the ceremony, the signature fan of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was unveiled. Designed by renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing, it incorporates his ‘Square Character Calligraphy’, which arranges alphabets into rectangular forms that resemble Chinese characters. 'Unveil Beijing's Soul' is inscribed on the fan in Chinese ink.
