KSA eases entry and quarantine regulations for education sector

The announcement follows improvement in the Covid-19 situation in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has announced a further easing of restrictions for those in the field of education. The Ministry of Interior confirmed that those who were previously prohibited from entering the kingdom from certain countries can now enter directly without having to observe the 14-day exclusion period, provided they fall under the following categories:

  • University and college faculty members
  • Teachers in the public sector
  • Educators from technical and vocational institutions
  • Scholarship students

Those entering the country will still need to meet the necessary vaccine requirements. Those who have received one or both doses of the vaccine inside the kingdom are excluded from the institutional quarantine.

In a further easing of regulations, it was also confirmed that the kingdom has lifted the suspension of travel for Saudi citizens under the age of 18 to Bahrain.
