JW Marriott to open on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island

JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort is scheduled to open in late 2026

Marriott International and WOW Resorts have teamed up to launch a luxury resort and residential development on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE.

JW Marriott Al Marjan Island Resort and JW Marriott Residences Al Marjan Island will include 300 luxury guest rooms alongside 524 residences, featuring one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom residences and luxurious penthouses.

The development will also feature seven dining venues, a spa, pools and a fitness centre.

Marriott International vice president of Development for the Middle East, Saahil Lalit said: “We are delighted to strengthen our relationship with WOW Resorts and Marjan by bringing JW Marriott, one of our flagship brands, to Ras Al Khaimah. 

"This signing also marks our third deal within Al Marjan Island, and we are excited to further grow our portfolio within the iconic destination.”

In August 2023, Marriott International and Dalands Holding announced the planned opening of the W Hotel on Al Marjan Island. Slated to welcome its first guests in early 2027, the 300-key W Al Marjan Island will also be the brand’s first property in Ras Al Khaimah.

Meanwhile, the first Marriott International hotel, the 350-room Le Méridien Al Marjan Island Resort and Spa, will open in 2026.
