Orient Occident Hotel Istanbul joins Autograph Collection

Marriott International debuts its premium hotel brand on Turkish peninsula

Marriott International has launched the Orient Occident Hotel Istanbul, Autograph Collection, debuting the group's premium Autograph Collectio brand on the Turkish peninsula. 

The intimate boutique hotel has just 40 rooms and is situated in the heart of Istanbul’s historical centre, within reach of the bustling Spice Bazaar, Grand Bazaar and cultural landmarks, such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

Dating back to 1900, the historic building is a fine example of La Belle Epoque architecture. It has been carefully restored to retain its cultural heritage, with a detailed façade featuring garlands of roses and ribbons.

The hotel’s sophisticated interior design draws upon a colour palette of deep blues, rich greens and burgundy tones. 

Dining options include alfresco rooftop restaurant and bar Mezzepotamia, offering a Mediterranean-style menu paired with magnificent views of the Bosphorus. Meanwhile, the Orient Occident Patisserie serves up a selection of sweet treats and coffees. 

Other facilities include Occident Spa, a tranquil retreat within the lively city offering a Turkish bath, sauna and steam room, alongside an outdoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre.
