Hilton Dubai Jumeirah launches Vero Italian restaurant

Lobster and chocolate pizza is on the menu

Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, in Dubai tourist hub JBR, will welcome new Italian restaurant Vero in January 2022.

Meaning ‘true’ in Italian, Vero features an expansive terrace, overlooking Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel, and offering sunset views over the Arabian Gulf.

The modern Italian menu conceived by chef Andrea Mugavero will focus on fresh seafood and authentic flavours. With more than three decades of experience working at renowned Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, chef Mugavero brings his Italian heritage to every kitchen he enters.

Commenting on the launch, Mugavero said: “My involvement in Vero has been a thrilling journey and I’m excited to be taking the lead and overseeing the talented culinary team. Truly, I cannot wait to make guests smile when they taste my food and the rich taste of true Italian cuisine.”

Vero’s selection of pizzas include the signature carpaccina, made with crispy dough, beef carpaccio, fresh rocket, Grana Padano and black truffle; the delicate langoustine tartare made with lobster, fresh pine nuts, Asian salad and crispy quinoa with white chocolate and yuzu, and the tuna tataki crudo made with pan-seared tuna in teriyaki soy sauce, sesame seeds, crispy quinoa, wasabi, avocado and fresh sprouts.

Traditional Italian desserts include tiramisu and cannoli, crispy Sicilian pastry rolls filled with ice cream and pistachio.
