Hilton appoints new leaders in The Seychelles

Top-tier recruits charged with bolstering group's presence on African island

Hilton has made four key leadership appointments in the Seychelles.

Hendrick Calles (top, centre) takes on an expanded remit as Area General Manager in addition to his current General Manager role at Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa – a position he has held for two years. In his expanded capacity, Calles will oversee and guide the operations of all six Hilton properties in the Seychelles.

With more than 20 years of experience, he began his career with Hilton post-graduation and has since worked across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, gaining insights into diverse market dynamics and guest expectations.

Calles said: "I look forward to working closely with our leaders, team members, partners, and the local community to continue to uphold Hilton’s reputation for excellent service, while contributing positively to the growth and development of the Seychelles hospitality industry."

Seychelles

Henar Gil (bottom, centre) takes on the role of Cluster General Manager, Mango House Seychelles LXR Hotels & Resorts and Canopy by Hilton Seychelles.

Her career spans multiple international brands and she brings a wealth of experience in rebranding, operational excellence and luxury market acumen to her new role. Prior to joining Hilton, Henar held leadership positions at major hotels in Mexico where she managed complex operations and successfully led key initiatives, including the reconceptualisation of a pool day club and a major renovation project.

During his 26 years with Hilton, he has worked in Italy, Greece, Germany, Egypt, South Africa, Turkey and most recently, in Morocco. His return to Seychelles marks a homecoming following an earlier role as General Manager at Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and at DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles Allamanda Resort and Spa.

Ryan Roach (right) joins as Country Commercial Director to oversee sales, marketing and reservations across Hilton's Seychelles portfolio.

A native of Cape Town, South Africa, Roach honed his skills at the Cape Town Hotel School before advancing into revenue management roles in both the UK and South Africa. He was most recently Commercial Director at a hotel company based in South Africa, where he strategically managed teams to maximise revenue across 23 properties.
