Ennismore appoints Cluster GM for Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai

Anders T Dimblad brings 25 years of luxury hospitality experience

Hospitality stalwart Anders T Dimblad has been appointed as Cluster General Manager of Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai, returning to the UAE city after a decade in Southeast Asia. 

As well as overseeing the strategic direction and operational excellence of the two flagship Ennismore resorts, Dimblad is tasked with fostering innovation across teams and delivering immersive, guest-centric experiences that align with each brand’s ethos. 

Dimblad was chosen for his extensive multi-property experience and leadership style, which centres around creating genuine, culture-rich experiences for guests and on wellness, which fits with Banyan Tree’s philosophy of holistic wellbeing and Delano Dubai’s emphasis on simple, elegant luxury.

Delano Dubai

A seasoned professional with more than 25 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, Dimblad brings expertise in hotel operations and a commitment to wellness-driven hospitality, as well as deep brand knowledge of Banyan Tree, having joined the Singapore-based group in 2003.

Over the last two decades, he has held senior leadership roles in key markets, including the Seychelles, Phuket and Kuala Lumpur, where he spearheaded the launch of Banyan Tree’s first property.

In his latest role, he managed the integrated resort complex at Laguna Phuket, where he was responsible for a multi-brand portfolio and recognised for driving guest engagement and brand loyalty through innovative, experience-led initiatives.

No stranger to the UAE, Dimblad previoulsy spent more than three years in the emirates, serving as multi-property GM for Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts and Vice-President Hospitality at DAMAC Properties. He received numerous industry accolades, including being named among the Most Influential Hoteliers in the Middle East.

Commenting on his appointment, Dimblad said, “I’m excited to return to the UAE at such a pivotal time in the region’s hospitality evolution. I look forward to leading the collaboration between Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai, shaping the resorts into one of the region’s foremost luxury lifestyle destinations.”

Located on Bluewaters Island, Banyan Tree Dubai offers 179 elegant rooms and suites with Arabian Gulf views, a 500-metre beach, multiple pools and award-winning spa. Delano Dubai made its Middle East debut in November 2024, with 251 rooms and suites, plus a top-floor, five-bedroom penthouse designed by La Bottega Interiors.
