Next generation Airbus A350 features spacious cabin, enhanced technology and three-class configuration

Having taken delivery of its first Airbus A350 in November 2024, Emirates has brought forward deployment of the next-generation aircraft to Kuwait and Bahrain, starting from 8 January 2025.

This follows Emirates’ first scheduled commercial A350 flight to Edinburgh on 3 January, and plans to roll out the A350 to Muscat, Lyon, Bologna, Colombo, Mumbai and Ahmedabad – with more routes to come.

The three-class aircraft features 312 seats, with 32 Business Class lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 21 Premium Economy seats in a 2-3-2 configuration, and 259 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 arrangement.

The A350 has high ceilings and wider aisles, faster Wi-Fi, and the latest version of the ice inflight entertainment system.

Speaking at the introduction of the A350 to the Emirates fleet, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group said: “This aircraft sets the stage for Emirates to spread its wings farther by offering added range, efficiency and flexibility to our network, enabling us to meet customer demand in new markets and unlock new opportunities in the cities that we serve.

“The 65 Emirates A350s joining our fleet in the coming years fit into the airline’s broader plans to support our visionary leadership’s Dubai’s D33 Strategy, which will transform the city into a pivotal hub in the global economy by expanding its connectivity and reach.”

Founded in 1985, and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Emirates has been serving Kuwait since 1989, and today operates 29 weekly flights. Emirates operates 22 weekly flights to Bahrain.

The Emirates A350 is the first new aircraft type to join Emirates’ fleet since 2008 when it took delivery of the A380.
