Elie Saab to open first branded hotel in the Swiss Alps

Post Hotel & Residences will launch in Andermatt in 2027

Best known for designing glamorous red-carpet gowns, Lebanese fashion house Elie Saab will debut a luxurious hotel in the Swiss Alps.  

Post Hotel & Residences will open mid-2027 in Switzerland’s Andermatt, known for its mountain town charm and world-class skiing. 

It joins a small but growing number of luxury properties in Andermatt, including a sister hotel to Chedi Muscat in Oman, The Chedi Andermatt, which was the first five-star hotel to launch here.

The project, a partnership with Swiss architectural studio A++ Group and Mira Developments, marks the world’s first Elie Saab-branded hotel and continues the brand’s strategic expansion in the hospitality industry.

Just recently, the brand partnered with Dubai-based Samana Developers to design bespoke interiors for a luxury resort in the Maldives, Samana Ocean Views, set to open in 2029.

Rather than a new-build, the Switzerland project will see the transformation and reflagging of Andermatt’s historic Hotel 3 Könige Und Post, with a focus on combining the property’s original 18th-century chalet-style charm with contemporary aesthetics.

The hotel will offer 40 accommodations, including 21 hotel rooms and 19 residences, as well as a pool, a spa and wellness area.

The design by A++ Human Sustainable Architecture will feature light-filled, spacious interiors that reflect Elie Saab’s signature interiors style, including natural woods and plush fabrics.
