Dubai's Maison de la Plage sees 2,000 guests on opening weekend

New beach club attracts more holidaymakers to West Palm Beach development

Fundamental Hospitality’s first-ever beach club and restaurant concept has opened on Dubai’s West Palm Beach development in the UAE.

In its opening weekend, Maison de la Plage received 2,000 guests, a testament to the continued popularity of beach clubs in the UAE, which have transitioned from a trend to a mainstay of the hospitality offering enjoyed by both holidaymakers and locals.

Located within The Club, an exclusive emporium of beachside venues at the top of West Palm Beach, the venue pairs “eccentric Côte d'Azur sophistication” with a restaurant, beach and pool to provide a sanctuary for anyone looking for “day-to-night restaurant-led beach experiences”.

Chairman and Founder of Fundamental Hospitality Evgeny Kuzin said: “The opening of Maison de la Plage last week surpassed expectations, and we were excited to share our newest concept with the public. It is our first beachfront venue in Dubai and is complemented by La Sombra, an exclusive after-hours speakeasy that will be opening in April.

The menu has been designed by acclaimed chef Izu Ani, the culinary talent behind restaurant brands including GAIA and La Maison Ani, and features French Mediterranean flavours, seafood and craft cocktails.

Fundamental Hospitality’s second beach club, Sirene by GAIA, will open at J1 (formerly La Mer South) in Dubai’s prestigious Jumeirah 1 neighbourhood in September 2024.

Spanning 9,000 square metres, Sirene by GAIA will be an extension of Fundamental Hospitality’s GAIA restaurant chain, offering a Greek-Mediterranean lifestyle concept with multiple dining spaces, lounges, a beach club, mixology bars and a boutique.
