Dubai hotels score highly at Professional Beauty GCC Awards 2024

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai and Spa Cinq Mondes Raffles the Palm Dubai both won

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai (pictured) and Spa Cinq Mondes Raffles the Palm Dubai both won trophies at the Professional Beauty GCC Awards 2024, held in Dubai on 20 February 2024.

Taking place at InterContinental Dubai Festival City for a third year, the well-attended event saw 525 beauty industry professionals gather to celebrate their peers.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai scooped the award for Resort Spa of the Year sponsored by spa equipment manufacturer Gharieni Middle East.

Billed as a “destination spa” spanning more than 2,000 square metres, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is home to nine treatment rooms, including two couples’ suites, a hammam suite and a VIP suite, as well as heat and water experiences and a fully-equipped fitness centre. In addition, it’s known for hosting acclaimed practitioners; the latest being “wellness designer” and personal trainer Jimmy Jarnet whose first residency ran from 1 to 18 February. The win for the Marriott Oriental brand follows a successful result in this Forbes ranking. Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai and Mandarin Oriental, Doha both won the Forbes’ Five Stars distinction in both the hotel and spa categories.

Also located in Dubai, spa director Sioux Lees won Spa Leader of the Year, sponsored by medical equipment provider Leader Healthcare, for her role at Spa Cinq Mondes Raffles the Palm Dubai.

The hotel’s outpost of the popular Parisian spa features 23 treatment rooms, two private spa suites and an indoor swimming pool, alongside two traditional hammams, a yoga studio and a fully equipped gym.

Commenting on the hotels’ wins, deputy general manager at Professional Beauty GCC Emma Baron said: “The Professional Beauty GCC Awards prides itself on awarding the best businesses, individuals and teams from across the world of spa, hair and beauty, through a rigorous judging process.
