GHA members can now earn points at Rotana hotels across MENAT region

UAE-based Rotana, one of the Middle East’s leading hotel management companies, has joined forces with Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world’s largest group of independent hotel brands.

The move will see Dubai-based GHA become one of the biggest hospitality groups in the UAE with a portfolio of around 70 hotels, thanks to the addition of 36 properties from Rotana.

Chris Hartley, CEO of Global Hotel Alliance (pictured) said the partnership was a "significant milestone", particularly in a region where Rotana is the "largest hotel operator".

“With Rotana joining, we will be close to 950 hotels [globally], and we have high hopes to hit 1,000 hotels very soon," he said.

The addition of Rotana provides the 30 million GHA members of its Discovery loyalty programme with access to 80 properties across the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe and Türkiye (MENAT), with more to come as Rotana expands rapidly.

These include the Saadiyat Rotana Resort on the Abu Dhabi island, the Al Bandar Rotana overlooking the creek and Downtown Dubai

In January 2025, Rotana revealed plans for 36 new properties, including the first five-star hotel in Somalia and nine hotels in Saudi Arabia. As well as opening three properties in the kingdom in 2024, Rotana aims to triple its key count over the next three years, to reach 6,000.
