Research carried out by online travel agent Wingie showed flight bookings are commonly made just seven to 10 days in advance
According to a study by German travel company Wingie, the MENA region’s most popular air travel destinations this autumn were Cairo (11%), Dubai (9%), Riyadh (8%) and Jeddah (8%), while the average age of those booking flights online stood was 36.
Elaborating on the findings, Wingie CEO Çağlar Erol said: “This new data shows how regional air travel is changing – and growing – in the post-pandemic recovery period.”
Based on the analysis of last season’s flight-booking data, Wingie also reported that the region’s three most popular flight routes were all from the Egyptian capital to the Gulf – namely, Cairo-Abu Dhabi, Cairo-Jeddah and Cairo-Dubai.
