Boutique airline Beond triples network with 18 new routes

Rapid expansion from Maldives-based carrier with all-business cabin

Beond, the all-business-class boutique airline, will launch 18 new destinations from its base in the Maldives, tripling its existing network, with some services starting this year.

The new routes will connect the Maldives to key destinations across Europe, Asia, India and the Middle East.

Beond currently operates from Malé to Dubai, Riyadh, Milan, Munich and Zurich and this move comes just days after the airline announced new flights between Munich in Germany and Dubai in the UAE, with that service due to start on 1 May 2025.

Planned upcoming destinations include Paris, Vienna, Düsseldorf, Rome and Warsaw in Europe; Bangkok, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in Asia; Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad in India; and Kuwait, Bahrain, Jeddah and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East. Some services are subject to government approvals.

Speaking at ATM 2025 in Dubai, Tero Taskila, CEO of Beond, said the airline's vision was to  make the Maldives more accessible to premium travellers from around the world while offering "an experience that reflects true luxury – personal, thoughtful, and inspiring".

“Global competition for customers seeking luxury leisure travel experiences is strong and customers have choice. The Maldives is well-suited to capture this demand, and more so with the connectivity Beond brings to the market.”

All flights will be operated by Beond’s Airbus A321 aircraft, featuring a full lie-flat cabin experience with up to 68 business-class seats.

The luxury airline made its debut in November 2023 with passenger services from Munich, Zurich and Riyadh to Malé in the Maldives, launching its Dubai-Maldives route in April 2024, and adding direct flights between Zurich and Dubai a month later.

Beond also has its sights set on the Saudi charter market, with the kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) opening the domestic private aviation market, clearing Beond and other foreign, on-demand charter operators for take off.
