The low-cost carrier will fly to the Sri Lankan capital three times a week

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced the launch of a new route from Abu Dhabi to Colombo.

The direct route will connect Abu Dhabi International Airport to Bandaranaike International Airport with three weekly flights from 3 January 2024.

Flight 3L 197 will depart Abu Dhabi on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 22:10 and arrive in Colombo the next day at 04:00. The return leg on Flight 3L 198 will depart Colombo on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 04:40 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 08:05 on the same day.

Group chief executive officer Adel Al Ali said: “Air Arabia Abu Dhabi continues its expansion strategy to further strengthen the connectivity of the capital with multiple destinations while contributing to the growth of the UAE’s travel and tourism industries.

The route to Colombo will mark the airline’s 34th destination.
