Accor migrates to D-Edge for central reservations solutions

The technology brand was formed by Accor in 2019 through the merger of Fastbooking and Availpro

France-based hotel operator Accor has announced that D-Edge Hospitality Solutions, which it owns, will provide its central reservation system going forward.

According to Accor, cloud-based D-Edge will provide next-generation CRS that will help the company navigate new challenges in hospitality.

Accor will gradually switch its properties from the existing TARS reservation system to the D-Edge CRS in the coming months. D-Edge is currently ranked third in the world for hotel technology, after Amadeus and Sabre.

Speaking about the decision to work with D-Edge, Accor CEO Sebastian Bazin said: “It’s not a leap of faith at all, but that company deserves more resources, both human capital and tech capital. But I can tell you, [we’ve had] fabulous success for the last five years, and there are enormous opportunities in the years ahead through D-Edge, which is 100% owned by our company.”

Accor group chief technology officer Floor Bleeker added: “Accor is one of the most disruptive large hotel chains, and the first to adopt a multi-PMS strategy. As the ecosystem and distribution channels evolve, we want to provide our hotels with a future-proof, agile and user-friendly platform.”
