Abu Dhabi’s Warner Bros hotel set for November opening

The WB Abu Dhabi will be operated by Hilton under the Curio Collection brand

The world’s first Warner Bros-branded hotel will open in Abu Dhabi on 11 November 2021.

Set on Yas Island, the 257-room property is located directly opposite Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi theme park.

Guests will be taken on a journey through the Warner Bros archives with the studio’s famed stories and characters brought to life throughout the property.

A Friends fountain inspired by the sitcom will be the first thing visitors pass on their way to the hotel lobby

The whole of WB Abu Dhabi hotel is filled with curated artwork, props and costumes from Warner Bros films and TV shows and digital screens spanning the height of the eight-storey building play original content created for the hotel.

Each room will feature artwork inspired by three themes. The first theme, ‘From Script to Screen’, highlights standout moments from Warner Bros’ films and shows. The second theme, ‘Artist Confidential’, celebrates a variety of talent in front of and behind the camera in some of Warner Bros’ favourite productions. The third theme, ‘The Vault’, will depict some rarely seen images from the company’s most memorable archives.

The WB Abu Dhabi will also have five restaurants, including Sidekicks, The Director’s Club and The Overlook, a lounge with an infinity pool and 360-degree views of Yas Island

Speaking about the launch, WarnerMedia Global Brands and Experiences president Pam Lifford said: “Opening the doors to the first-ever Warner Bros branded hotel is a moment that we have long dreamt of, and it’s truly magnificent. The Warner Bros Themed Entertainment team and our incredible partners at Miral and Hilton, designed this with fans in mind and have curated an outstanding hospitality experience that gives guests from around the world a unique way to further connect with the iconic Warner Bros brands, franchises and characters they love.”

The hotel joins Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, which opened to guests earlier this year with a third Yas Island property still to come from the operator.

Hilton president for Middle East Africa and Turkey Jochem-Jan Sleiffer said: “We look forward to The WB Hotel joining our Curio Collection soon, following on from Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island as the second of our three hotels to be opening on Yas Island with Miral.”
